2019 marks the year of the 150th anniversary of the Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan (1869-1923). Through his passion for storytelling Tumanyan has preserved and continued the transmission of Armenian ancestral and folk heritage. Until this day Tumanyan’s poems have lost none of their originality, their emotional charge, or their ability to stimulate reflection. “On its Border Lilies are growing” is an artistic and cultural coop between the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum in Yerevan, NOAR and Aniki-Animiertes Kino.
This project will create a cross-cultural dialogue by involving young people from Yerevan as well as national and international professional artists from different fields: animation, music and sound-design.
